In line with the academic calendar, teaching and first-session examinations for 2018–2019 have ended at Mapon University. This is an achievement given national conditions and the difficulties of recruiting qualified lecturers and travelling to Maniema’s provincial capital.
Teaching was delivered by 13 professors, six Chefs de Travaux and seven teaching assistants from Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Belgium and the United States, totalling 1,060 hours of theoretical teaching, including 610 in the 1st bachelor’s year and 475 in the preparatory year, and 1,550 hours of practical work, including 620 in the 1st bachelor’s year and 930 in the preparatory year: an implementation rate of 100.6%.
The official closing ceremony is scheduled for Saturday 3 August 2019 in Mapon University’s amphitheatre.
