The founder of Mapon University, an institution of advanced technological studies, inaugurated its first student residence on Tuesday 30 October 2018.
Named Hortense K. Mbonda House after the former Prime Minister’s wife, the residence has 46 rooms and ancillary facilities, with capacity for 100 students. Construction cost USD 746,000.
The aim is to provide Mapon University students with a healthy environment and good conditions for studying, close to their place of learning, significantly reducing the costs they might otherwise face.
