Huawei joins the donors supporting Mapon University. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has donated state-of-the-art computing equipment to the University, an institution of the Mapon Foundation.
The handover took place on Thursday 19 December 2019 at the Foundation’s Kinshasa headquarters, attended by Board Chair Matata Ponyo, Foundation coordinator Michel-Ange Lokota, Huawei Managing Director Adam Ma and other guests.
The Foundation President welcomed Huawei’s donation as recognition of education’s role in development.
Matata Ponyo encouraged Huawei to continue such initiatives to ensure quality training for students wishing to enter the world of technology.
Huawei Managing Director Adam Ma pledged the company’s support for the University’s educational mission.
Foundation coordinator Michel-Ange Lokota thanked Huawei on behalf of the Rector for choosing the institution.
